A Community SkATE PROJECT

Board House Society, is a registered non profit, community skate project here in Central Oregon. Board House Society exists to empower everyone through skateboarding, creative expression, and community. Based on a foundation of skateboarding, we work to foster inclusion, acceptance, resilience and community through skate related entities such as skateboarding itself, art, film, competition and other creative endeavors. It started with a plan to bring back an indoor skatepark to Central Oregon. It quickly turned into so much more. This Community Skate Project is just that - invested whole heartedly in our CO community. Through schools, camps, events, comps, BBBS, Deschutes Library, skateboard lessons and other local collaborations - our goal to it help curate and foster togetherness through skateboarding.

We are still working our way towards an indoor space to call home but in the meantime, we are supporting what is already here. Creating, safe, inclusive spaces for humans to feel welcome, celebrate one and other, skateboard and experience first hand the uniqueness of this sport/art to remove barriers and create community.

We are so honored and grateful to be a part of the skate culture here and look forward to helping it continue to grow, strengthen and bring good to our corner of the world (and beyond) ~
